Getting off the plane at LAX and avoiding Winter Storm Thor in NYC by mere hours was the beginning of a great weekend in Anaheim, California for the Natural Products Expo West '15 show. Being greeted by palm trees on the way to the Anaheim Convention Center made the early rising each day bearable as droves of anxious health-conscious attendees and vendors packed the venue from March 6th-8th.
The ProTings booth was located in the NEXT Pavilion, a top floor dedicated to new up-and-coming brands and products. On display for all attendees to sample were ProTings main three flavors of protein chips: Toasted Sea Salt, Spicy Chili Lime, and Tangy Southern BBQ. In addition to these core flavors, the ProTings team was excited to introduce attendees to our new Zesty Nacho flavor, which is indeed vegan like the other 3 flavors above. The ability to capture a true cheesy flavor in a vegan product was definitely a talking point with those who stopped by the booth. We're looking forward to getting our Zesty Nacho protein chips into retailers within the next month, so keep an eye out!
Even moreso than at Expo East in September, the response at Expo West was outstanding. Consumers, retailers, distributors, and industry ilk alike loved the fresh idea of ProTings protein chips as an alternative to the multitude of sweet protein bars and shakes currently on the market. The tasty flavors and improved mouth feel had plenty of people stopping by our booth and asking a lot of informative questions. Everybody was delighted to hear the protein source was pea protein isolate, one of the hottest trending proteins in the market currently.
